Hey! I’m Andy Zowsk. I’m a multi instrumentalist, session guitarist, composer and songwriter based out of Toronto, Canada.

Music has been a major part of my life since day one. Throughout my childhood, I was classically trained on the violin and would often perform in ensembles and on my own. As much as I loved playing the violin, I had always been drawn to the guitar - electric guitar. I’d pass a local Toronto music store as a kid and stare in awe through the neon lit windows, watching the older kids play guitars inside. I wanted that! I needed that! At nine years old I got my first guitar, I went ham learning music, writing songs, and recording. In high school, I had formed several bands and always found a reason to play, even during school. All I would do is practice the moment I’d get home until the time I would go to bed.

Following high school I continued to play in bands, but began to realize that making a living this way was far from easy. I began to hear of players like Pete Thorn, Tim Pierce, Phil X, even players I was already familiar with who I later learned had worked as session guitarists; players like Andy Timmons, and Steve Lukather. This idea caught my attention as I enjoy playing a vast array of genres and styles, I am quick to learn music, and I enjoy writing, improvising, and collaborating with other musicians and artists.

Eventually I began looking for studio and live work in the Toronto music scene and found myself performing with bands like Broken Arrows, Kill Screen, Zapovid, TimeGiant, Out of the Ruins, and many others. Session work has given me some amazing opportunities to work with such awesome artists, and has allowed me to be a part of mind blowing music!

In addition to session work, soon I'll be running a youtube channel where I post video performances of my arrangements of covers, my own compositions, as well as other fun music related videos. I also play in a progressive rock band called Dream Aria.
